In the bustling panorama of indie music, Divining Rod’s latest EP, “The House Will Always Win,” emerges not just as another addition but as a striking narrative embroidered with emotional depth and musical ingenuity. Released today, this collection of five songs is a masterful blend of frontman Miyuki Furtado’s poignant storytelling and the band’s raw, organic musicianship.

Crafted during the same sessions as their previous work, “Santa Monica And Other Golden Classics,” the EP is recorded predominantly live, a choice that imparts a visceral urgency to the tracks. This approach, eschewing modern recording conveniences, infuses each song with a palpable sense of immediacy and authenticity.
